Ready? Ready for what? ARE YOU FINALLY GOING TO A RALLY?!

We've missed you. There have been QUESTIONS and QUERIES and also INQUIRIES about 944s! :-)

Occasionally, after you post a pic of your puffalump thingies (that sounded bad, but you know what I mean), I imagine said stuffed animal as a NASCAR driver. I think of him/her trading paint with Marcos Ambrose during the race. Then I picture the two of them fighting it out in pit row afterwards, surrounded by their crew trying to break them up.
Now, I must ask you a very important question: what would Rally Chicken say to the reporter asking pointed questions about the fight?

Subaru?
![]() 08/04/2014 at 01:17 |

CVT from a Mitsubishi Lancer.

Ok, my moms Impreza is kind of like that. Every time I drive it she denies me the satisfaction of the paddle shifting ability.

Dammit! you're ahead of me now in ze Porsche life; I must go find myself a plushable fluffalufagus friend, or something! :P
![]() 08/04/2014 at 01:28 |
|
Yes, yes. Eeeeexcellent.
Remember to care for your Puffalump, though. Don't leave it in the car indefinitely—it will fail in the sun. Treat it with all the care you should with a 28-year-old vintage parachute material'd chunk of winning. Wash in delicate cycle, in a pillowcase. Hug frequently. Also, let it sit on and ride in many, many exotic and interesting vehicles—because racepuffalump.
I've been busier than a cow with the phrrts lately.
![]() 08/04/2014 at 01:32 |

Ummm. Kay?? I can and will do all of that when I finds me a puffalump! :P
What is a phrrts? Or are you saying "ferrets"? :P
![]() 08/04/2014 at 01:36 |

Phrrts = a more accurate description of the non-voweled noise a toot makes.
'k.
![]() 08/04/2014 at 01:38 |

Ah. So you're taking about a cow-sized bowel movement involving flatulence. 'K, I see now.
![]() 08/04/2014 at 01:43 |

whooooooooooo!!!!!
![]() 08/04/2014 at 01:43 |

Not necessarily a bowel movement, just gas.

NEIN
(it's a Lulzcer; them's fightin' words)
![]() 08/04/2014 at 01:49 |

Well when my mom bought her Impreza I did call Mitsubishi the devil... What year is that?
![]() 08/04/2014 at 01:49 |

"Cluck."
![]() 08/04/2014 at 01:49 |

I dunno. I need to fly a car in the air again, man.
![]() 08/04/2014 at 01:50 |

D'oh! Ping me next time, will ya?
I've been around. Doing stuff. And things.
![]() 08/04/2014 at 01:50 |

Ah, so cow-sized gas release; of nuclear proportions. :P
![]() 08/04/2014 at 01:50 |

2010.
![]() 08/04/2014 at 01:52 |

Nice, I do have to admit I don't really have a preference between the two. But when I said that I did get a laugh out of the sales man. I'll let you know when I get to drive a Lancer I'll let you know my preference.

Use a rental dodge caliber. It's super effective. http://oppositelock.jalopnik.com/holy-sheep-s-t…

I'm okay interrupting Stuff, but Things? I don't know, that might be rude.
![]() 08/04/2014 at 01:58 |
|
Hahaha. I actually went to look at Imprezas when I got the Lulzcer. Shh, don't tell anyone. It was when the hatch was still a thing and it looked like a jellybean! JELLYBEAN.
No jellybeans were available in Waco, though. Then I got distracted by a big silly wing. YUS.
Hmm. The Subaru/Mitsubishi combo dealer in Wacko seems to make more sense than it appears.
![]() 08/04/2014 at 01:59 |

Eh, Things can deal.
![]() 08/04/2014 at 02:00 |

My mom was looking at the hatch back and it sold the day she went to test it. We got the sedan version and it's the car I'm learning to drive in, it's a good car to drive, very fun and balance. Steering is also perfect. Of course the only other thing I've driven is a Prius which has the worst steering of all time.
![]() 08/04/2014 at 02:04 |
|
I dunno. I think the combo of the floppier suspension makes the Camry's version of the Toyota numbotron a tad worse. The Prius was oddly tolerable. Needs a hydraulic handbrake and permanent "PWR" mode, though. lolololololollllll, I'd rallycross it.
Interesting to hear the Subie's steering is good. The Legacy wagon I sent into orbit the last time I got to yump a car must've had a steering rack like my mom's old DeVille. Oy. Needs a shorter rack. Needs it badly. Hopefully they don't pull that on the Imprezas nowadays.
![]() 08/04/2014 at 02:06 |

Yes. Yes you do. Come to LSPR
![]() 08/04/2014 at 02:07 |
|
Hmm. Ballstober.
![]() 08/04/2014 at 02:16 |

Our Camry Hybrid that I drove 1x was actually worse than the Prius, I just prefer the Subie to the Prius. I kind of drove the Camry illegally, with my mom in the car. It was the first time I drove and I didn't have a permit yet. It wasn't on roads but it still was really bad.
Our Subie is a 2012 so I don't know about the 15 but it is still a really good steering set up and the car corners well, it does take off really easily though, which makes it tough when I'm going back and forth between the Prius and it when I have to.
![]() 08/04/2014 at 02:17 |
|
Rally as in sturgis rally?
![]() 08/04/2014 at 02:22 |
|
It sits on dirty cars. I think rallycross is more likely, but yeah.
![]() 08/04/2014 at 02:26 |
|
Neato.
The Prius understeers at low, low speeds. Again, needs moar handbrake.
![]() 08/04/2014 at 02:29 |
|
Yeah, it does. I don't mind it but it's so different from the Subie I don't have as fun a time driving it. Brakes are too sensitive and the throttle has to be like 50% to get any good acceleration out of it.
![]() 08/04/2014 at 02:44 |
|
Yes. It's a delightfully colorful time of year in place that aren't Texas.
![]() 08/04/2014 at 03:09 |
|
lalalalala, I can't hear you over the lure of a long, wonderful stretch of comfortable track weather
![]() 08/04/2014 at 03:29 |
|
For rally cars (and presumably Rally Chicken) all weather is comfortable track weather.
Also humidity is evil. Just saying.

I was hoping for a more detailed response (in English), however I should have fully expected this answer.
You win this time, Stef...
![]() 08/04/2014 at 12:21 |

You have a Lancer, you should be rallying it daily.
![]() 08/04/2014 at 16:47 |

It's not humid if you're not in Houston!
![]() 08/04/2014 at 16:51 |

Cluck cluck!
![]() 08/04/2014 at 16:53 |

I remember humidity in Austin and San Antonio

WEAK
![]() 08/04/2014 at 17:10 |
|
Yes. Yes it was. I was disappointed.
![]() 08/04/2014 at 17:28 |

I revel in bathing in my own sweat. Shoot, I even go in the sauna for more sweatin'. You know what I did with the 944's aircon? SOLD IT ON THE INTERNET TO THE WEAK.
SWEAT SWEAT SWEAT.
![]() 08/04/2014 at 18:45 |
|
Ah, you think sweat is your ally? You merely adopted sweat. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn't see dry heat until I was already a man, by then it was nothing to me but suffocation.
